Dominick facilitated a superb dining experience yesterday. Friendly and attentive, he demonstrated the skill of a seasoned pro. Thanks, Dominick!

Really nice environment, and happy to see there's healthy options in VA. We went on a special occasion and our waiter was very friendly but forgot my entree. I was really looking forward to trying the Korean noodle bowl, but it never came and the waiter was so busy he never came to check on us until the end of the dinner when everyone was done eating(we had a large party). I told him my meal never came. He apologized, left and came back after that and said they had one ready if I still wanted it, but didn't offer it on the house or for me to take to go. I thought considering I never got my meal and my family had to share their food with me, it was the least he could have done. Instead we got a free scoop of ice cream. I'd go back again, but would hope for a better level of customer service next time when they mess up. On a plus side the ginger tea was delicious!

My experience here was really good, Dominick was very helpful to me, his recommendations were very good, love the food, love the concept. Very nice place.

Dominick was exceptional! Professional, attentive and have a great energy. Good food as always.

Love the lively ambiance at the open, airy and attractively designed True Food. The restaurant runs like a well-oiled machine. Service was excellent. What we really like about True Food is that their food is prepared with high-quality and healthy ingredients. We went with a friend who insisted on ordering both the brussel sprouts and cauliflower starters. These dishes were good. Of the two, the brussel sprouts were better. Unfortunately, my pepperoni pizza was poor. Yes, the pizza's flavor was very good but the Neopolitan-like crust was so soggy and thin that it had to be eaten with a knife and fork. But maybe that's how True Food wants their pizza, and other people prefer it this way. JP ordered a turkey burger. To cut back on carbs, JP requested and received a lettuce leaf as the bun. The burger was excellent, though the kale that came with the dish could have stood more dressing. Our friend, also wanting to restrict carb intake, requested the meatloaf entrée, but without the mashed potatoes. Myself, the boy from Idaho, could never say no to mashed potatoes. Our friend was surprised that the meatloaf only came with carrots. The server explained that the potatoes would have been the other vegetable. Our server graciously then brought our friend a bowl of steamed broccoli to supplement his dish. I tried the meatloaf and it was excellent, definitely prepared from high-quality beef. For a beverage I ordered iced tea. I didn't like that the tea turned out to be a fruity hibiscus variant. When I order iced tea, I like to get iced tea. But overall, our dining experience was very good. I do recommend making reservations.

Great lunch today of soup and salad! PG server recommend choc pb torte to finish which provided necessary protein! Thx for excellent service, delicious food!!

Attended my friend's birthday dinner here. It was everyone's first time dining at this location, and my first time even hearing of this restaurant. What I had: *SPARKLING PRICKLY PEAR TISANE *MEATLOAF w/cheesy mashed potatoes, honey roasted carrots, mushroom jus, microgreens *FLOURLESS CHOCOLATE CAKE (the birthday girl) Our server Dominick was a gem, offering hospitality and honest food recommendations. We'll definitely be back to try some other food options. __ I eat. @f.hux I thrift. @DCthriftish

I have driven by True Food Kitchen many times and finally decided to give it a try. Even though we had reservations we were left standing for a few minutes while tables and servers were sorted out. Once seated, we were greeted quickly and provided drinks. I had the chopped salad which was fresh and enjoyable. The meat loaf sliders lacked flavor and I was disappointed. Others in our party order the filet with cheddar cheese mashed potatoes and gluten free blueberry pancakes. Everyone else were pleased with their entrees especially the pancakes. Our waiter was great and attentive. For a busy Sunday brunch, he was on point and made us feel like we were his only table.

I came for a winter brunch, and I would definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time! My party of 8 had a nice table in the back. Service: Our waiter was so slow and so inattentive. He did not bring waters, or take our orders for appetizers. We were sitting there for such a long time waiting for service. (Hence my 4 stars instead of 5) it was so frustrating! Our meal took 30-40 minutes to come out! Food: The food was the highlight though! The Brussels sprouts were charred and cooked to perfection! It feeds about 4 people so we ordered two for the table! It was lemoney and so so good! I ordered an avocado toast and this was by far the best one I've had at any restaurant!!!! It came with a side salad, which is too healthy for me haha but the bread was toasted to perfection and the egg and seasoning worked so well together! I dream of this!!
